Biography

Yundi Wendy Zhang is a creative leader in advertising, working across experiential, storytelling and emerging technologies. Based in LA and originally from Hong Kong, Wendy helps brands create moments that make you laugh and think: moments you overhear people talking about in a bar, and moments that enable actions.

Currently a Design Director at the award-winning advertising agency Invisible North, Wendy leads the team to build long-lasting connections for brands, through culture-grounded, human-centric innovation. Over the past decade, she has brought impactful campaigns to life for a diverse range of clients, including helping LEGO launch the campaign for its biggest innovation since 1978; leading Uber’s first-ever experiential campaign in Canada; unveiling Rabbit’s world-first personal AI device, R1, on a global live stream; earning numerous international accolades along the way with Netflix, Spotify, Bloomberg, Nike, etc. Her works integrate storytelling in the space with technologies such as AR, VR, 360 film, projection mapping, and robotics.

Throughout Wendy’s career, she has been invited to speak at leading industry events and has served as a judge for Campaign US BIG Awards and UCLA Design Reviews. Her artwork has been exhibited at prestigious art events including Venice Biennale. She frequently mentors emerging creatives at universities across the nation. ELLE described her work as “creation without boundaries,” Forbes called it a “representative of art creative pioneers,” and LA Weekly noted it pushes “the boundaries of what’s possible when technology, design, and imagination collide.”
